The Argentine Culture Institute – Onix Foundation is delighted to announce new scholarship programs starting in 2018 for students wishing to immerse themselves in studies of the Spanish language and culture or have a work experience in Argentina. The Argentine Culture Institute is a non-profit organization that specializes in educational programs created under the State of Córdoba laws, ID Number: 548 “A”/ 05 - Federal Tax ID Number: 30-71187981-8, .
We awards every year a large number of scholarships to students interested in learning and practicing Spanish within a complete immersion environment in the city of Córdoba, a medium-sized city in which the students will have a real opportunity to learn the Spanish way of life and to learn the language in everyday situations.
We're committed to increasing all students’ access to study abroad’s many benefits. To reach this goal, Argentine Culture Institute offers scholarships in four categories:
Who is eligible?
The Scholarships are open to everyone who is interested in learning or improve Spanish. Each scholarship has its own specific set of eligibility requirements
How are the Scholarships awarded?
The scholarship will be awarded based on:
1) CV (Resumé),
2) Letter of recommendation only for Argentine working experience program
3) Letter of intent, what you expect to gain from the experience in Argentina and what you intend to do after completing the trip.
4) Level of Spanish according to the type of Scholarship

There are 72 scholarships available for different educational options in 2018.
Awards for Students Attending Affiliate Universities
Students that attend universities that partcipate in our Preferred University Partner Programa are entitled to have more benefis and preferences to win the scholarship . It is your responsibility to let your International Internships Program Advisor know that you are entitled to any of this scholarship program.
Scholarships privileges students or employees for Preferred Partner Institutions:
-On Internship programa: Award amount: USD 780
-On Spanish for beginners: Award amount USD 680
-On Spanish and culture immersion program: Award amount USD 220
-On Spanish Teacher 's Training program: Award amount USD 330

Scholarships for participantes NOT part of the University Partner Program:
- Awards amount: USD 220 to USD 300 on all programs
Terms & conditions
The candidates considered by the Argentine Culture Institute to receive any grant will be participants from the countries that do not required visa when travelling as tourist.
It is aimed at students aged 18 years-old
Any level of Spanish, from beginner to advanced levels.
There will be no economic discrimination for the resolution of the scholarship.
There will be no academic discrimination for the resolution of the scholarship.
A proportional number of scholarships will be granted per country.
This type of scholarship can only be granted to study Spanish at the Argentine Culture Institute for a period not exceeding two weeks. (Except Argentine Work Experience program)
The student will show an exemplary behavior in and out (accommodation, city, school)
In case of not meeting the expected behavior standards, the student may automatically be expelled out of the program.
The attendance to the training course must be at least of the 90%. In any case, the absences will be properly justified.
The scholarship covers the tuition in an amounts range from USD 220 to USD 880, based on among the Scholars selected.
All scholarships do not include:
- Living costs
Please note that the scholarship covers partial or full program/course tuition fees only. The scholarship would not cover living costs during studies (e.g accommodation/food/return flights/buses/transfers)
In reference with the accommodation, we deal with its management, providing different options with very affordable prices: host families, dorm, apartment or hotels. They are well known and contrasted accommodations by the Foundation, meeting a minimum of quality parameters. Accommodations has a discount of 10% from the published prices for student with the scholarship on homestays or a combination of group housing.
