Elegibility requerements

To be eligible for The Business Spanish & Culture Scholarship, applicants must:

-1-Resume/curriculum vitae 
-2-Minimum Spanish level A2 (Beginners+)
-3-Must be between 17 and 30 years of age
-4-Submit a complete application no later than DECEMBER 1, 2019
-5-Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member at your university, NGO or company. 
-6-Personal Video - Upload a short 2-minute video that provides a detailed explanation of your objectives for study abroad. In this explanation, discuss 

      how the combination of your major/work and participation in study abroad -will support your development and help you meet your goals.

Students who want to start their study in August 2020 may be eligible for the scholarship. If you want to apply make sure to complete your  application before December 1, 2019.

Application Process

Priority Deadline: 1 December 2019. Applications will remain open until program is filled. If spots remain open, the final deadline is anticipated to be 1 February 2020.  Students will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance into the program.  

Result of the selection process

The possible results are:

  • Positive and an scholarship will be offered;

  • Positive but the candidate will be placed on a waiting list;

  • Negative, meaning that no scholarship will be offered.

What expenses will Onix Foundation covers on the educational cost of the USD 7.610?

For students participating in Onix´s semester.  The award amount on educational costs is USD 4,000.

Please note: Onix Foundation scholarships and grants are only applicable to tuition and room/board fees billed by Onix Foundation. We do not award scholarships or grants to cover any other expenses, including, but not limited to, immunizations, visa fees, travel insurance, airfare flight ticket or study abroad fees charged by your home school. If your home school has an established billing agreement with us, it is your responsibility to communicate with your home school as to how your Onix Foundation scholarship or grant will be passed on to you by your home school. *Non-refundable. 

This course is recommended for serious students who want to make the most of their time abroad to achieve a good language level in Spanish. This is a very intense program and students have to study hard and do homework every day, so please make sure you understand this well.
